On Thursday 18th and Friday 19th of April 2019, in the Centre of New Media & Feminist Public Practice, the third seminar/workshop of the programme

The 3rd Seminar, ‘Discourses, Methods and Practices’ will focus on the methods and the discourses developed in the creative and cultural field and their extensions to other fields in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. A series of theoretical approaches, such as marxism, feminism, psychodynamic theory, and post-colonial critique, have shaped the cultural and creative field.  The aim of the seminar is to understand the principles and ideas that led to a series of new methods, methodologies and practices from aesthetic journalism, video-essays, relational aesthetics and aesthetic antagonism, to artistic activism.

Workshop: During the second day of the seminar will be presented audio, video, production, post-production and processing programs that will be available at the CENTER and can be used by the seminar participants to experiment, produce and process their own material.

The workshop participants, under the appropriate guidance (individually and in groups) by the Centre’s research team and in collaboration with the workshop coordinator, will have the opportunity to create their own projects to be presented in relevant exhibitions, festivals and cultural events, along with works by artists who work in this field. The participants will also receive a certificate of attendance, upon completion.
